Mike Perry – Executive Director institute for Change Leaders (ICL)

A lawyer and social worker by profession, Mike is currently Executive Director of the Institute for Change Leaders (ICL). At ICL, Mike helps equip people from all walks of life with the public narrative storytelling and concrete organizing skills needed to make the transformative, lasting change they and their communities want to see.

ICL programs are based on the work of renowned organizer Marshall Ganz at Harvard, where Mike has served as a teaching fellow. ICL has worked with the For Youth Initiative which supports Black youth to navigate systemic barriers and Hope for Refugees International which extends a hand to refugees from Africa.

In 2022, Mike was elected Councillor for Ward 3 in his hometown of Kawartha Lakes, where he lives with his two young children. Mike, Abigail, and Gabe are proud citizens of the Métis Nation.
