Jahmoyia Smith

Jahmoyia Smith (She/Her) is the Manager of Corporate Engagement for Asylum Seekers and Vice Chair of the Black Action Coalition for Change (BACC).

As an immigrant herself, Jahmoyia deeply understands the challenges faced by newcomers, refugees, and asylum seekers in Canada, which drives her commitment to their integration and empowerment.

At Accessible Community Counselling and Employment Services (ACCES), she leads initiatives that provide innovative employment solutions for primarily newcomers, refugees, and asylum seekers, helping over 900 job seekers each year achieve sustainable employment.

She also champions professional development programs aimed at advancing the careers of Black staff, underscoring her dedication to equitable professional growth.

Jahmoyia’s leadership and advocacy are pivotal in fostering inclusive communities and supporting the successful integration of asylum seekers into the workforce.
